Oh The Controversy! Watch The Video Of This Plus Size Model That Almost Got Pulled From The Super Bowl

You might not know who Ashley Graham is, yet, but you should!

She’s been a Plus Size model since she was a pre-teen, and at 5’10” she’s a size 14, which is the average size of American woman, she’s just about 5 inches taller than the average woman in the United States.

In the fashion world, “Plus Size” starts at a size 6-8, so at a size 14, Ashley Graham is definitely considered “Plus size” which we guess is why the Super Bowl almost pulled her ad for Swim Suits for All’s #curvesinbikini’s campaign.

To make it even more “exciting”, Sports Illustrated will run the ad, though they have are giving their subscribers the option to decline the magazine if they don’t want this issue due to the campaign.

The highly anticipated 2015 Swimsuit Issue will come out Feb. 9 and will feature the magazine’s first plus-size ad, starring the gorgeous Ashley Graham. We think this should have started sooner, but thank you Sports Illustrated!

In issue, Graham wears a black string bikini in an ad campaign for SwimsuitsForAll

“I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too. There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt,” said Graham in a press release. “The world is ready for more curves in bikinis.”

Previously, Graham has graced the cover of Elle Magazine Quebec and appeared in multiple campaigns for Levi’s and Lane Bryant. Just last year, Graham was one of five plus-size models that earned a spot on IMG’s coveted modeling roster.

We think she’s absolutely GORGEOUS and applaud her courage and Swim Suits for All for widening the idea of beautiful!
