Andreja Pejic came out publicly as transgender in July after undergoing gender confirmation surgery. She managed to raise $63,325 through Kickstarter to fund a documentary about her life in November. She made her runway debut as a transitioned woman for designer Giles during London Fashion Week last February.
She’s at it again! She’s breaking barriers once more by landing a major beauty campaign with LVMH-owned cosmetics brand Make Up For Ever.
She broke the news to the public in an announcement on Tuesday in a Vogue interview. She was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for the magazine’s May issue.
This will be making Pejic one of the first transgender models to score a major beauty campaign, alongside Brazilian model Lea T, who was named the face of Redken Chromatics Haircolor in November.
