Clint Smith delivers an astonishing TED that touches on a very sensitive topic. It is difficult for us, as kids, to fully understand everything that our parents tell us. Sometimes our parents wouldn’t give us a reason as to why things are the way they were. This was crystallized one night for a young Clint Smith, who was playing with water guns in a dark parking lot with his white friends. This poet paints the scene of his father’s furious and fearful response.
