Amy Winehouse Documentary Trailer Has Been Released

Gone But Not Fogotten- The Ever So Talented Amy Winehouse

Award-winning Asif Kapadia is turning his attentions to the late singer Amy Winehouse. The film, Amy, won’t be out out until July 3, but the trailer has just been released, with archive footage of her as a goofy teenager, as well as writing, recording and touring as a successful artist.

“I’m not a girl trying to be a star, or be anything other than a musician. I don’t think I’m gonna be at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I would probably go mad, you know what I mean? I would go mad.”

Perhaps the trailer’s most touching scene is whereshe’s asked if it’s hard to know who to trust and she admits, “yeah”, it is.

The film also promises to feature unheard music from the Grammy-winning singer who sadly passed away from alcohol poisoning in July 2011.
